In this section I will try to keep up on the changes I make to my 89 YJ.
Updated 05/16/07
Making some changes again. I broke a front leaf spring a several weeks ago and as I already have the new coil over's for the front I could not see spending the money for new leafs at this point. We will build a 3 or 4 link front end for it now. In the mean time I started having trouble with the front set up on my 96 F-250 and I am sick and tired of the IFS system. The axle in my YJ is from an 86 Ford F-350 ball joint and it has worked well but is not what I wanted. I decided to install the ball joint 60 in my truck as it is very close to a bolt in change over. I found a 79 F-250 D60 King Pin and bought that. I am just getting started on a complete rebuild of the new axle before I start the swaps. Here are a couple pics of the new axle.

Completed the King Pins today. I have a high steer arm coming for the passenger side but as it is not here yet we put it together to keep everything clean.
We installed the gears and OX locker today. After a long look at the rust on the stock inner shafts I decided to order Alloy inner shaft to match the outer I already have. I hope to have the truss and high steer arms soon so we can complete the axle.
Installed new Alloy inners, BTF high Steer arm, and all brackets removed. Waiting on truss (this week)
and brakes and we are ready to start the install.
Well the new front end is now built and ready to install. All the parts are here.
At this point it is all but done. I will have new coils tomorrow and then be able to test flex and clearance. I am ready to wheel next weekend.
